Description
The sand crunched under his feet, as the weary traveler came upon that old beach. He had heard of it many times before from passerbies, but this would be his first time walking on these shores. These old wrecks were old, older then he was, maybe even older then his father. The waves beat against the shore, pushing around the old metal beasts like toys. They were relics of an older time, and an older age when a civilization and people fought against long and hard odds to maintain their world. As the water beat against the crumbling shore, the wanderer could only ponder if it was all truly worth it.
Had this image in my head for a bit so I thought, why not! I can does art, I can totally get this out! Not too connected with any of my stories, though as you can tell, its heavily inspired by them. Out of the two obvious ones, I'd say this one is closer to Dragon Legacy. Though it could be a little Journey Home-ish too. This image was more born out of the concept of a figure wandering the beaches, and seeing the relics of a previous battle. It was a battle fought by a world and people trying so hard to hang onto their world, but it was a fruitless venture. Now, years later their relics sit abandoned as new worlds spring up in their ashes. New stories, walking amongst the old. So yeah
Btw, in case you're wondering, that's a US Navy LCAC, their amphibious assault craft
Decided to do a bit more on the value study side of things, rather then color. While I'm making great strides forward, I think its always helpful to keep value and shadows in mind in being able to assort a composition, rather then relying just on color (though colors really important too!) I'm also lazy, so there's that.

Hmmm. I like how your art is always accompanied by a backstory. XD I've never at all read Dragon Legacy, but it has a TJH-ness to it. Though considering how much I think you fancy post-apocalyptic stories.... XD
