Raug: A Dream that has to End Sometime

You ever find yourself in a situation so bad, so messed up or just wrong that you thought to yourself no, no this has to be a dream? You ever find yourself in that situation, and wished that it just was? Deeper and deeper in you sink, and you just wish for it to be over, for it all to go back to the way it was once. To be back to "normal". The deeper in you sink, you realize perhaps its not a dream, but something far worse...

What? A colored image from me? Impossible! So I was in a bit of an art rut after I came back from my vacation in Austin a few weeks ago and was trying to think of some things to draw. While I was there, I kept thinking of this image. I kept thinking to myself what an image it would be to draw, if only I could do it in color. A greyscale like I've been doing would not have done it justice enough... So I just sat on it. Eventually though I kept thinking about it more and more until I just opened Photoshop and decided to just start on it. And.... here we go, I finished it, in full color. I tried a lot of different techniques here that I typically haven't tried, and applied other lessons from images I've discontinued. I think personally, it was a success! I've still got a long way to go in learning how to use and apply color, and contrary to what many of you have suggested, I don't want to just... go out there and do it willy nilly. I've always wanted to ensure that if I'm doing something, its of quality. If I'm not doing something of quality and just halfassing it, I feel like its a betrayal to myself, to what I can do. So that's why I've stayed away from color for a while, because I was never confident that what I was going to make would be of quality. Anywho, I hope you guys enjoy! I might do more colored images like this in the future
